(To borrow an infamous quote from George C.) lol Everything was pretty quiet today until the thunderstorms rolled through! Got sorta rough, enough to shake "Cassie" around. Wendy arrived home safe from work, so that was a relief. Saw an empty kayak float by the sea wall. No one in sight so it probably blew in from across the lake. Tornado watches should be over in a couple hours.
BTW C. = Costanza The folks at Host Gator came through today, I'm very thankful. I almost lost all my blogging work! Anyway, I'm back in business. I need to quit pushing the wrong buttons!
No pictures this time. We're both doing well. Weighed the truck today at a CAT scale. All weights within limits! Yay! With the new shelf built by yours truly, Wendy put everything in its place for travel so we could weigh both truck axles. We have about 200lbs left over after calculating our 400 lb tongue weight imposed by our Casita. Be safe out there :)
Highlight of the day today, so far, was washing clothes?
Guess every day won't be as equally exciting! Done, checked off the list. Stay tuned! No pictures for today, still rainy and cool. Even the ducks are staying put :) Social distancing I guess! We've pushed the limit on our black tank...ewwwww! Better start looking on day 5. Today's adventure takes us to Joe's Truck to replace a window on our new truck shell. Window was improperly sealed at the factory and had a small leak. Had to take everything out of the bed so they could work on it. And then a hamburger dinner treat at Tastee Express in Summerville followed up with their wonderful soft serve ice cream! Thanks for your visit!
We've been here since 14 Mar and are reserved out to 16 Apr. Since the C19 outbreak the campground offices and security have closed up and gone home with no return expected any time soon. We still have water and elec and an operating dump station so we'll stay put until things get normalized. New friends with Susan and Gary, Mel and Joe, and Bob and Roxie (who was fixed a couple days ago). Roxie being an 8 month old toy poodle. We're all social distancing as best we can. Wishing you all "be well".
We are Wen and John starting out from Awendaw, South Carolina. Selling our home was quite an adventure in itself and we are excited to now move into life's next adventure. As of March 2020 we've traveled some 70,000 miles, give or take, over the last 22 years with most of it going from hotel to hotel in a rented van and the in-laws' Cadillac, in-laws included :). 20,000 of it in "Cassie" starting November of 2017 in our 2018 Casita Liberty Deluxe, after factory pickup. We've loved the experience ever since. Every day is an adventure. We get to make new friends and visit old all around this great country. Throughout it all we've been able to come back to our home. This time we carry our home with us. Feels weird for sure! Thanks for visiting. We'll try to keep it interesting! |
