This is it!  We've sold our house and made the plunge into full-timing :) After living in our

home for 33 years we've managed to downsize to our "Cassie" (now "Bessie") trailer

and "Mac Daddy" (Move Along Cassidy) truck.

We hope you enjoy our adventures along with us.

We heard a strange sound along the way and pulled into this rest area to further inspect.  All seemed ok so we continued on to Rainey Creek Municipal CG by Stewart, AK. for 3 nights.

"The Bus" used to be a well renowned food bus that Kathy and Chick frequented years ago for it's most excellent halibut meals. Covid closed everything down for 2 years and the owners built this shack to cook and accommodate everyone's orders.

The owner catches the fish and his wife prepares the meals.  She only cooks one family's order at a time so you can wait a couple of hours depending on the volume of visitors.  It's worth every minute!

This is the spawning season for salmon so you need to carry your bear spray with you...just in case.

Chick and I took a trip into Hyder for a little salmon fishing.

This isn't mine :(  Mine broke loose after 1/2 hour of wrestling with it so Chick let me pose with his fish :)

I need to add: the fish was revived and released.

We parked right beside it (50 feet or so) for the night.

Those 2 big rocks under the sign are actually jade.

Jade city is a small community located in the Stikine Region of British Columbia, Canada, situated on the Stewart-Cassiar Highway.  The town has only 26 permanent residents, yet it attracts tourists due to its reputation as a center for jade production.  Over 90% of the world's jade is found in the mountain ranges of Northern BC

We had a restful 1 night stay.  The "free coffee" signs did influence our decision to stop there.

The Tarahne Historic Site in the Village of Atlin, BC, Canada is a cruise ship which rests on the waterfront of the village on Atlin Lake. During the 1920's it was a passenger boat used for transporting people across Atlin Lake. The destination for the M.V. Tarahne for most voyages was the Atlin Inn located on the other side of the lake. The historic vessel was built by the White Pass and Yukon Rail Company.  The Tarahne was a propeller boat. During the 1920`s the vessel was considered a luxury cruise by many who visited the region. The boat was retired during the Great Depression in 1936. In 1958 the boat was beached on the shores of Atlin Lake in the village.
