We started out with a bang...a flat tire on the first morning of this years start to our 10 month adventure! Our spare was good and we swapped it out and began our journey to Raleigh, NC, to celebrate Veston's birthday. We met up with some of their family and friends and stayed at a nice hotel for a couple of nights...which led to another problem for us. We stayed in a room at the hotel with our trailer in the parking lot, unattended, until we went to leave on our next leg. Since we left our refrigerator on "auto" it sensed to use propane while we were without power. Well...the propane tank went empty and the fridge automatically switched over to the trailer batteries for power. Next morning the batteries were toast. We left for our next destination and let our truck's alternator do the best it could to recharge the trailer batteries. That worked well enough to get day to day use from them so we were able to nurse them to Arizona where I eventually swapped them out after ordering some really nice and powerful lithium batteries. One reason to go to N.C. was that it was centrally located for us all to meet up. There is a business close by that decorates like nothing I've ever seen. Many people from all over come to enjoy the lighting! Here we are trying, and succeeding, to make our reservation for dinner. Our tour guide, Veston, led us to a "Top Golf" venue the next morning, cigars in hand! This is a really crappy picture of "the guys" at Top Golf but does capture some of the fun we had. I liked it so much I figured to buy some of the company stock, they are scattered throughout the U.S., and promptly watched it decline 20% the following week...where it sadly remains to this day. Stocks are apparently not my forte. :( I think I lost by a stroke and had I seen this rule infraction, one step over the line while a fellow competitor is hitting, I could have imposed a 2 stroke penalty and won by a stroke....at least that's my story! We left N.C. for Twin Lakes COE for 1 night. We have been there many times and didn't get a picture on this visit. Next, on to Wills Creek Vineyards and Winery, an HH in Attalla, AL. We stayed 1 night. Mary Ruth and Mark (retired state trooper...thus I had to mind my manners), were so kind to have us visit for a couple of days at their home in Collinsville, MS. We ate way too much good food and even played a little music :) Alexandria RV Pk, in Boyce, LA, for 1 night. Wet weather at B52 Brewing, a HH in Conroe, TX. 1 night. Dear Charlotte and Wayne's wonderful home in Fredericksburg, TX. Here Wayne is showing us the building he made for Charlotte's looms and weaving equipment. Wayne is very talented working with wood! And Charlotte with weaving (and cooking). Maddie is not all that sure about the cold weather :) We next went to Saddleback Mountain RV Pk in Balmorhea, TX. We've been there before and stayed 1 night this time. No pictures. The park below is Dreamcatcher RV Park, an Escapees park, in Deming, NM. Here, at San Pedro Resort Community in Benson, AZ we get to wash off all the bugs to make a grand appearance at "THE Q". Next up...THE Q !!!!!!!!!!
