More Adventures...

​Here is a turnout by Haynes, AK.  I tried a little fishing and a little panning...I struck out :(

Regardless...we have a wonderful time!

We followed Google, again, up a dirt road that led us to a dead end.  Grrrrr!

But we never got bottled in so Wendy led us back to a driveway where I turned around.

We talked to Viking Cruise Lines about a possible future cruise instead of another drive.

Another turnout, this time at Stikine, British Columbia.  It was cloudy the day we got there but sunny the next morning...very beautiful.

This is a gravel turnout at Kluane Lake in the Yukon Territory.  It is quite a beautiful, albeit busy, stopping point for the night.

Sunshine the next morning sheds light on the beauty of this place :)

6 Aug...this is a double ended gravel turnout in Beaver Creek, Yukon Territory, for 1 night.

Many miles were traveled in conditions like this.

This is a little deceptive.  The "gold pan" is more than twice our height.  We stopped for a picture on the way to Beaver Creek.

Mukluk Land, a Harvest Host camp ground, was a welcome stop to wash clothes in TOK, Alaska.

The Alaska Flour Company was a great overnight stop.  The owner gave us a tour of this facility that was very cool.  It is a family owned and operated flour mill located in Delta Junction, Alaska, specializing in stone-ground, artisan barley products. The company grows hulless barley under Alaska’s midnight sun, utilizing pure air, clean water, and long summer days to produce 100% whole grain, non-GMO goods rich in nutrition and antioxidants. 
Their product line focuses on barley flour and related items, marketed as high-quality alternatives to organic foods.  These products are available in various locations throughout Alaska, including Anchorage, Fairbanks, Palmer/Wasilla, Kenai Peninsula, Southeast Alaska, Valdez, Seward, Kodiak, and Willow.

We woke up to this view the next morning :)

Here is a stocked lake on the way to Delta Junction where we were sure to catch a few trout.  We did not!!!

This abandoned cabin is teetering on the edge of no return!

Here it is, ladies and gentlemen...my one and only fish landed on our Alaskan journey.  It only cost me $100 for my fishing license and was worth every penny!!!!

This was a quick stop on the way to Brushkana Creek.
