This is Silver Sage RV Park in Rangely, Colorado. We stopped here to leave for Grand Junction, CO, for trailer repairs the next day. It was a 3 hour trip from here to Grand Junction and we planned to leave at 0630 the next morning to be 45 minutes early for our appointment. Well, we were ready to depart when our tire pressure monitoring system indicated our back right trailer pressure was low. Sure enough we picked up a nail somewhere and we needed to replace it with the spare. We were already 15 minutes behind schedule and now we had to change out the leaking tire. Wendy and I operated like a well-oiled machine and had the tires swapped out in 15-20 minutes :) We were on our way and made our appointment on time. The repairs took only 2 hours and we took off for our next destination. I didn't have the tire repaired right away as I thought "what are the chances of another tire going bad in the next couple of days?" Our maintenance repairs required us to stop after 50 and 150 miles of travel to re-torque our axle U-bolts. On the 2nd stop I managed to barely rub that tire on a curb since the parking lot was crowded. It was enough to crack the valve stem but I initially thought the pressure sensor was the culprit as the leak quit when I tightened it. We took off again and that pesky low pressure alarm went off again. Sure enough the valve stem was verified as the culprit. The leak was slow and we dashed to the next town as Wendy searched for the closest repair shop. She found one 6 miles away and off we went as she kept an eye on the pressure readout. The tire had enough pressure in it to prevent any damage and the repair shop gave us top priority and fixed both tires in less then an hour! We were, and are, so very thankful for the way all these unfavorable circumstances worked out !!! :):):) We went through Vail Pass on the way to the end of our long day and ended up at 9097 feet at our next campground. Peak 1 Campground, White River National Forest by Frisco, Colorado. It is indeed very beautiful this time of year!
