Here we are at Canadian Grain Elevator Discovery Centre in downtown Nanton. We left Milk River this morning during a driving rainstorm with temps in the 40's. Wind gusts to 40 mph predicted. It's a little warmer in Nanton but these grain elevators seem to be compressing the wind between them and delivering even more windspeed :( At least we have a little sun for a solar recharge. We navigated our first stop at a Canadian gas station and successfully topped off our fuel without any major complications.... as far as we know :) Good thing the harvest is later this year ! Actually everything was decommissioned years ago. We decided to go on a tour of the elevator next to our trailer the next morning...very interesting. Here is the oldest timber in the building. It was 200 years old 100 years ago when they built the structure :)
