Quartzsite, AZ...

Dome Rock...straight ahead! This is where we rock and roll from mid January to mid February each year. You don't really know what you'll get weather wise out here. There are many miles of miles and miles of sand, dirt, and gravel scattered around this town of about 3000 residents. Dome rock is but one area of the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) lands scattered around Quartzsite. We go here for the enormous RV show that lasts for a little more than a week in the town. Many vendors gather under and around the BIG tent to show off their merchandise. The outlying areas and the town swells to 750,000 + people! Dome Rock is where the fiberglass trailers gather for an informal rally where we share fellowship, food and of course...music. This is only our 3rd year but some have 15 or more under their belts. No electricity, no sewer, no water...go figure why so many visit here. The nearby (6 miles or so) town of Quartzsite can replenish all you run out of so it's not like totally devoid of infrastructure. Dust storms, occasional rain, cold, heat, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, clear nighttime skies for stargazing, what more could you ask for :)
